2017 Masters Message

Brothers, I am once again honored by your trust in me and to the fidelity of the Station in the East.  Much good work has been recently accomplished by our Lodge Brothers both in the operative and speculative spheres of our Craft. A look back provides us guideposts for our path forward, together.

 In the operative arena we have kept a Temple and its grounds in a condition that reflects to the credit of Masonry to our community.  The four cemetery plots were tended in memory of those who preceded us into the celestial realms.  Our financial house is in good order.  Several Masonic scholarships were awarded, including a vocational student via the diligent efforts of WB Bill Skewes and our Educational Committee.  A freezer was purchased and donated by WB Bart Corfee.  Meals were expertly prepared at modest cost by the WM and WB- Ben Morgan. Sewer drainage was repaired and our utility systems in good order due to WB Al Brown. WB-John Baird has kept the bills paid and records in order.

To that proper to write in the speculative arena, we have welcomed new brothers into our fraternity. Chris Boyd is our newest Master Mason, and Sean Arckley is making progress in his proficiencies. Pete Malcovich and Frank James have affiliated with our Lodge. Several Brothers are advancing in the Scottish Rite order. WB Ted Brown conducted the funeral service for our late WB Les Clark, twice Master of this Lodge and Treasurer for fourteen years. Harmony and support to and from neighboring Lodges is on-going.

This is our reconstituted Trestleboard. WB-Bill Achbach has stepped up as Editor to head this effort. Communication of our news and upcoming events and that of our adjoining Lodges shall be strengthened, thereby. We are planning to distribute this Trestleboard both electronically and hard copy via US Mail. Please indicate a preference to us to save duplication and postage.

In 1995 our Past Master Theodis (Ted) Brown offered this in his Masters Message;
“The mission of Freemasonry is to promote a way of life that binds like minded men in a
worldwide brotherhood that transcends all religious, ethnic, cultural, social and educational
differences; by teaching the great principles of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth; and by the
outward expression of these, through its fellowship, its compassion and concern, to find ways
to serve God, Family, Country, Neighbors and Self”.

Regular communications are on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each Month.
Dinner at 6:30 and meeting at 7:30. All Brothers are invited.
Bring along a worthy friend who may become a Brother of ours.

Fraternally Yours

L. Dean Clark - Worshipful Master
